Sometimes you can find things you could never imagine without even looking for them.  This is a story of a woman who became connected to the Fitz through a message in a bottle.  Message from Sherry to the website is dated 2002.

Hi Tim,
I am now 45 years old...so you can tell by the date on the note that I was not much younger than you when I found this note. My parents had a cottage on the Canadian side of Lake Huron; it was a cold and stormy fall afternoon when I was walking the beach. I noticed a bottle wash up on the shore. I opened it and found a note...I then placed it in my pocket. For years to follow as I changed purses, I placed my special note in each of them. It was not until after I was married that I suggested to my husband that maybe it was time to get rid of my childhood find. He then asked to look at the note.  He could not believe what he was reading.  Unbelievably I had never paid attention to the name of the boat on this note all those years. Well, needless to say, he then took the note from me and placed it in a safe place. I am so glad I could share this story with you Tim.
